Power BI Developer (US/EMEA timezone) | Remote Role
Midshifts is seeking a high-caliber BI Developer to provide strategic data modeling and financial reporting support to a growing U.S.-based client. Working directly with Finance and Accounting leadership, you will be the backbone of the firm’s data operations, transforming complex Oracle EPM and market data into visually compelling, actionable insights. This is a mission-driven, remote-first role for a professional who thrives on analytical precision and advanced technical architecture across platforms like Power BI, Looker, or financial terminals.
What Your Days Will Look Like
BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated dashboards—utilizing Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms—focused on critical financial and accounting metrics.
Systems Integration: Connect BI tools to various data sources, including Oracle EPM, ERP systems, and market data (Platts/Bloomberg), to create dynamic, interactive reporting environments.
Advanced Modeling: Implement expert-level data modeling and calculations (DAX/LookML) to optimize dashboard performance and usability.
Financial Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Accounting, and EPM teams to gather business requirements and translate them into high-level analytical solutions.
Data Stewardship: Ensure absolute data accuracy, consistency, and security within datasets and workspaces while maintaining strict governance standards.
Strategic Insights: Develop and monitor KPIs and provide ad-hoc analysis to support management forecasting and data-driven decision-making.
Who Will Thrive
The BI Expert: You have 6–8 years of experience as a BI Developer or Analyst, with a proven track record in financial reporting and budgeting dashboards.
The Financial Analyst: You possess a deep understanding of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
The Platform Specialist: You are a master of Power BI or Looker, and ideally familiar with financial data streams like Platts or Bloomberg.
The Clear Communicator: You have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-level narratives.

Schedule: Full-time availability aligned with U.S. business hours (Midshift/Overlap).
